so i was curious about some different composing techniques to maybe help writing piano music a little easier. i was curious if there was specific composing techniques (like the ‘mannheim rocket’ used in Beethoven’s 1st piano sonata), or maybe just common strategies used with scales (not chord progressions though, i already understand that).
i kinda wanna play around with different types of techniques and experiment with them, rather than just writing line after line with no real variation and the sheet music itself doesnt look very interesting

I’m looking to pick up some basic piano skills. I’m more looking to play by ear rather than play sheet music. I play guitar and looking to begin learning basic piano (chords, scales, etc) to get me started so i can record basic stuff. Anywhere online that would be good? for free?

Ive recently started to become interested in playing piano, and atm im just teaching myself songs from the internet ( Youtube and whatever sheet music i can find). I do plan on getting a piano teacher but atm im happy to just get used to playing etc.
Anywho, ive noticed how hard it is to find sheet music, but its incredibly easy to find piano cords/ tabs ( I don’t know the difference, if there is one). I however have no idea what they are or how to play them. Can anyone offer me a little insight?
Heres a link to something for reference

Even a site where i can just learn the basics of how one actually transfers what is shown on the link above to music, and what all the numbers mean, and in what way are they played ( Ie all together or in sequence)
Anyway, thanks for help

I’ve been playing piano for a while now more then 4 years but I never came across chords andi feel like I’m not improving so I wonder in order to move on to a higher lever should I learn chords or practice reading sheet music faster.by the way I’m more interested in complex music then simple songs since I do not sing nor do I play with other instruments offtenly
