I bought a keyboard a few months ago, but I don’t really know what to do. I really want to learn how to play, but I find I have a lot of trouble with motivation. I do like to try to learn sheet music, but I’m not sure if I will learn anything from this. Does anyone know of some good websites that offer more theory on piano (chord progressions and such)? I ask this because I already play a few instruments so I know the basics and it’s really hard to find lessons that aren’t catered towards absolute beginners.

I just got a 61 key keyboard on sale and I plan on teaching myself. After I get the hang of it and know what I’m doing, I’ll upgrade to an 88 key piano. So which chords are basic to learn first? What other things should I learn? I want to play by ear. But I can read notes a little bit from what I learned in Violin, Guitar, & Vocal lessons.
